Mission and Migration
Migration appeared in the agenda of churches in 2015, however, migration is an issue which was relevant for churches before the refugee crisis. Since that crisis it is emotionally charged. It keeps the church busy on many levels, changes the work of welfare and social work by churches and becomes reflected theologically. Migration and flight are matters rooted deeply in the bible, depicting a scene of theology. They are interesting from a mission-theological point of view.
Since 2016 the IEEG cooperates with the CVJM-Hochschule in Kassel and the society "Wertestarter - Stiftung für christliche Wertebildung" in order to carry out research about migration, integration and interculturality.
