Seminars and lectures at the Theological Faculty

The IEEG and the Chair for Practical Theology in Greifswald offer a fixed curriculum of courses, seminars and lectures. In four semesters students get to know essential aspects of a church that is both missionary and pastoral in a context marked by „late Christianity“. There are courses about pastoral counselling and occasional offices (with internships in homes for the elderly and in hospitals), worship and preaching (esp. with the homiletical-liturgical exercitium; models for evangelism; faith courses) and missionary church development (e.g. conceptions for local church development; models for church leadership and management; and models for diaconical work). Furthermore, there are optional courses in areas of hymnology and church music as well as church law and religious law.
